We Invest in North Carolina’s Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Salem Electric Company offers the state supported Electrical Apprenticeship Program in conjunction with Forsyth Technical Community College. This is a four-year program requiring 500 hours of classroom training and 8000 hours of on-the-job training. Our apprentices are required to attend two classes per week, September thru April, each year during their four-year period. This program allows us to insure that we employ the most competent electricians in the field. Each year Salem Electric Company’s apprentices comprise 75% of the Forsyth County Electrical Apprenticeship program.
Safety is Our Priority
We employ a full time safety director that commits 100% of his time to insure the complete safety of our employees on job sites.
Our commitment to safety helps ensure everyone goes to home to their families every day. Safety begins at the top at Salem Electric Company, and management completely supports and promotes a safety culture. We provide the resources for required equipment and training, and also promote and encourage the “thinking out of the box philosophy” to complete a job safely and effectively. Some of the best ideas come from listening to our employees. We believe that a safe job site is the prerequisite for a good job site.
